a very scarce Clyde shipbuilding item, comprising a history of Barclay Curle, report of the banquet in honour of, and presentation to Mr. James Gilchrist, partner, and latterly director in the firm.
also includes many photographs of the shipyard, personalities in the company, and ships built by the yard.
This is one of the 'posh' copies in the maroon leather binding, unfortunately rather worn to the spine and something's been nibbling the front cover.
