Scottish artist and etcher, William Strang was born in Dumbarton in 1859 and educated at Dumbarton Academy. He worked for over a year in Denny's shipyard offices before moving to London in 1875 to study art folio [40x29cm]

the plates, printed on japanese vellum are very clean and bright.
in the original gilt lettered brown buckram, with a small light water stain to the upper board.
