a scarce account of a voyage into the Arctic Circle and to Spitzbergen by two English gentlemen with little knowledge of the sea.

They chartered the three-masted whaling schooner 'Traveller' from Peterhead and and set sail in May 1888 with a crew of fourteen for a five month voyage.
