good clean condition hardback in the original brown cloth binding with paper spine label.  just a little binding wear.      

a scarce Greenock item, written by the town's provost, largely relative to the development of the harbour in the 19th century and political struggles involved with it.

this is the second volume, complete in itself, the first volume was published in 1879.
