light wear and rubbing to the binding and bruising to the corners. some dust or finger mark soiling to the plate surrounds and title-page, otherwise generally clean, though a bit age musty.
book-plate to front paste-down. oval library stamp to first text page. small catalogue number to verso of title-page.
This is one of the scarce editions with the plates hand-coloured, comprising full-page frontispiece, thirty smaller plates and two sepia tone engraved portraits of Holbein and Hollar.
The hand colouring still nice and fresh.
