London, George Virtue, 1838.
6 volumes. 4to. [28x22]. complete with all 118 steel engraved plates, engraved title-pages, and the folding map.
foxing and marking to the plate surrounds, mostly fairly light, but heavy in places. private book-plate and small oval institution stamp to front paste-downs. apart from the foxing as mentioned, mostly internally clean, but rather musty.
this is a rare example of the work as issued in the original six quarterly parts, in green boards and roan leather spines. there is some rubbing to the boards and a bit of wear to the spines, but no significant damage.
