Two 1853 / 1854 lithographs by Schenk & McFarlane of the paddle steamer 'Atrato'

The paddle steamship 'Atrato'was built in Grenock by Caird & Co. for the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company, to serve on the West Indian route.
She was converted to screw propulsion in 1872 and served as an emigrant ship for Australia and New Zealand, and ended up stranded on Stag Rock in Patagonia in 1884.
These two lithographs correspond to holdings in the Royal Museums Greenwich.
