4to. later half-morocco. ppiv 176. 17 engraved plates, 8 folding and backed with linen. ex-Royal Burgh of Kensington Library with book-plate to front paste-down and stamp to verso of each plate. top corner of plate 3 torn away, with slight loss. foxing and browning to plates, otherwise, apart from a little spotting here and there, in good clean condition in a lightly rubbed half morocco binding.
Col. F.W. Trench, MP drew up these proposals for the development of the riverbank on the north side of the Thames between Charing Cross and Blackfriars Bridge, and submitted them to the House of Commons in 1825.
Initially rejected,Trench's plans were resurrected and the development carried out after his death.
