the log covers the yacht Anemone's participation in the first Trans-Pacific race, from San Pedro in California to Diamond Head, Hawaii; followed by the return voyage, and cruising on the American Pacific coast.

The 115-ft ketch 'Anemone' was built by Camper & Nichols in Gosport in 1899, and was brought over to America shortly after her launch, and bought in 1905 by Charles Leaming Tutt, of Colorado Springs.

There is a presentation inscription to the front free end-paper from Charles Tutt and Louis Ahlers
